I'm surprised it produces enough light to supply a plant. I always thought it would have to be at least 200w (energy saver) like these

The lift is suspended about 15cm above the plants so there is loads of light and the plants are lush green in colour and have loads of flowers on at the moment hopefully chillis will e on in the next few weeks hopefully

Hi all again my flowers are out and I have been self pollenating the flowers how ever two or three flowers have fell off but with the whole stem too

The question is why I thought the flower falls off and chillis then grow if some one can correct
            Me

Or do I turn the light off and cut back and over winter the chilli plants all 8 of the plants Which are

            3 jalepeno
            2 piri piri
            1 Dorset naga
            2 black pearl

The jalepeno have grown like wild fire with loads of flowers but no chillis yet

The black pearl has about 10 buds on

And the. Dorse and piri piri are still small with no buds yet

piri piri take quite a while to grow (120 days ive heard)

flower drop could either be day temp too high, night temp too low, lack of pollination, over watering etc..

im pretty sure you can over winter without having to cut it back although if im wrong im sure someone will correct me

Are the flowers falling off before or after they open?

Are they getting too hot? That flouro light is pretty close to them, and you've got the heating on too ...?

They tend to fall off before they open if they're being overwatered. The two main culprits for them falling off after they open is not being pollonated, and being too hot. I note you're growing a naga. They are notoriously hard to get to fruit, as they produce very little pollen. I had one last summer and painstakingly went round the flowers with a paintbrush every day and got precisely zero fruits. They really do have to be outdoors, because no matter how handy you are with a brush, insects are far better at it than you.
