  • Tomatos and Full Sun

Do tomato plants need full sun in the day? I have 3 plants in pots and placed in the garden where they get full sun most of the day. Is that too much for them? Should they be in shade?

And a side question. have you guys heard about the ecoli virus going around in veg, Will our crops be same?

My tomatoes get hit by noon sun, and if they can take this they can take whatever you can throw at them! :-) In pots you just need to make sure they stay watered....

As long as you take normal hygene precautions, you have nothing to worry about

Haven't the Germans now said they were wrong about the e-coli. It won't naturally be in veg, it gets there by veg being contaminated from another source - as the Germans are now admitting.

Ecoli transmitted through animal faeces coming into contact with the veg. They seem to think it had something to do with the watering of?!?
