my san mazarno and roma tomatoes are growing leaves on the flower trusses, one even had what looked like a growing tip. What should i do with this growth? I am growing them as cordons.

Ignore it, or chop it off (personally I sometimes root them up for extra plants). It is fairly common.

I think it's just nature's way of getting extra food to the developing fruits as the leaves are where the sugars are made.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I grew San Marzano a few years ago and found it a very messy plant and a bit of a pain to keep in check.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Some varieties are particularly prone to this. Some of the beefsteaks do it alot. If it bothers you yo can remove them.
