    Hi

I told my MIL I would like to get some Thyme and she said that you can walk on it and make a path.

Has anyone had any experiene of this? All help/suggestion needed.

I have a corner in my path filled with thyme, planted it up with some seed grown stuff about 8 years ago and it's fab. You have to pull out the odd weed now and again and I give it a good trim with a pair of shears once or twice a year otherwise it spreads to wide. Make sure you get a creeping variety otherwise it'll get too tall and keep off it until it's properly established. Although you can walk over it, don't put it in a heavily trafficked area as it's not that hardwearing.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
