Default sweetcorn between spuds

could i grow sweetcorn between my rows of spuds? I am running out of room. I don't think earthing up would be a problem if i'm careful.

Only problem I can see is if the sweetcorn isnt ready when its time to dig up your spuds, as taking the spuds out usually involves a lot of earth moving, which may disturb the sweetcorn, but as we are already in the same state with runnning out of room and have already planted a few at the side of one of our early spud beds, then I think we thought it worth a go! Try it, see how it works and whether you'd do it again! Afterall, its better to plant the sweetcorn somewhere than to let it die!
