  • Sweet Potatoes

Hey everyone. In a moment of madness I bought sweet potatoes and these arrived yesterday. They're not slips but potted plants with a lot of greenery. Trouble is I'm not sure what to do with them. I've got 6 and I'm going to plant 3 in a potato bag, the biggish square ones like Marshalls or Thompson and Morgan. Do I just plant them at the same level as they're in on the pots?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Susie

Yep,put them in at the present level & keep them well fed,you want to get as much greenery on as fast as you can to get a reasonable crop of tubers

Ohh just looked up & seen you are in bonnie Scotland as these naturally grow predominantly in fairly consistently hot climates it may be prudent to have the growbags in your greenhouse/conservatory if possible
