  • Swede in Seed Trays.

Can anyone tell me if they have started swede in seed trays before and transplanted afterwards.

I have recently sown some in individual cells as a bit of an experiment and they have germinated brilliantly but am not too sure how they will transplant at a later date.

    Any advice guys and gals?

    They will be fine.
Transplant when there are more than 2 proper leaves, and bed them in well. There should be a good root ball by this point.

Iv not started them off in trays before but have made paper pots and sown them in those to get them started and minimise root disturbance

I'm doing the same this year (if the seedlings survive the flea beetle invasion as per usual ), just not sure quite when there'll be room to plant them out!
