Hoora, my first posting!
I have two types of carrots growing in my container plot.
Both have the same growing medium ,( garden soil + mp compost + little coarse sand) and both in the same position. In one container I have the Adelaide early and one with Sugarsnax 54 bought from T&M as the sweetest carrot they have.
I lifted both and the Adelaide is fantastic, tender sweet and lovely.
The Sugarsnax on the other hand got very strong carrot flavour but also a bitter after taste.
Is anyone else here got this result, is Sugarsnax is just a hype? I see people on the forum recommended Chantenay as a nice old flavour, I like to eat carrots raw if possible and the sweetness is paramount.

..you can plant them from early summer through to late autumn..give em a go.. i'm sure you'll love them 
They have to be pulled when they're still very slender though.
