  • Strawberries - Advice

    As a first attempt I have grown 2 varieties of strawberries from seen earlier on in the year. They have taken what seems like ages to grow to any reasonable size. I am expecting not to get any fruit off them this year.

    I have noticed today that some of them seem to have I think runners growing off them. Can anyone advise what to do with them. Not sure if they should be planted or to get rid of them as the plant is young and not produced any fruit????

    Would appreciate any advice and apologies now if this subject has been covered before.

    Thanks Kazza72

    Hi,

    I am growing Cambridge for the 1st year and cutting my runners with the hope that the fruit is more plentiful. Next year and the 3rd year I intend to keep a few runners for extra plants.

    This may help;
