    Spuds seem intent on reaching for the sky!

    Our spuds this year are HUGE! - at least the plants are!

    Is this normal?....for this area?

    Previous two years the plants had either wilted or flowered and we were tucking in by now?!

    Don't know about normality, but if they are still growing you could have a bumper crop!!

        I hope so! - our crop rotation has meant they ended up being in the smallest of 3 beds and so it was ominouse if we would get as many as previous two years. Mind you Oliver planted last years spuds so deep (was advised to do this rather than earth up) that when he dug over the patch he missed loads and so this year I have them sprouting up in amoungst other crops

                I would broggle if I were you (can't resist it if I suspect there might be a spud of harvestable size).

                    Worth a look to see how they are doing. I have some charlotte in and the tops are huge about 2.5 ft and really bushy, however there is nothing underneath as yet. Further down the lottie I have some more with only half the top growth and I dug two haulms yesterday and had enough potatoes for a family of four. (two meals for me and OH)
