    Spuds cookedafter one frost?

    Morning all

    Took three of my spud pots ( the experimental ones) out of the green house yesterday whilst i moved thing around and forgot to put them back in .

    Woke this morningto a slight frost, sawmy babies and rushed tosee them.Dont look too bad , wilting slightly and leaves were a tsd frosted, will they survive ?, their back in gh

    Sorry not sure what this means but from what I understand of the post are you concerned that your potato plants are done for? If it's only a light frost it is likely that the growth (if its above soil level) will be affected and development set back but the actual seed should be OK. A heavier frost would be more fatal but make sure you tuck them up at night for now

      saw my babies, Alison, space bar has to be smashed lol, onits way out .

      Thanks, i was hoping id get that answer and they will certainly be tucked in properly from now on, at least untill the frost goes back to bed .

        They often re bounce, so definitely worth trying. I had some badly hit that had grown by themselves, we have a light frost and a week later new little buds were growing at the sides of the old leaves. Like tomato side shoots.
        I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
