A foot apart seems about right, I wouldn't go much closer together than that.

        Aren't you a bit late?
Thought that sprouts should start cooking for christmas no later then the summer solstice.

I'm sure they'll grow on OK though won't they? Even if they crop a bit later? I thought it was 2 feet between plants - bother! I've planted mine too far apart! Lol

Depends on the variety. Directions on the Evesham Special packet says plant out at 2 feet apart.

Kirk was having a joke... My sprout seedlings are only at two true-leaf stage, so they'll have to be for Christmas 2014 in order to be cooked for the optimum length of time

A foot is a bit on the close side of things but give it a go and as said above it does depend on the variety. Do remember however that planting more plants, closer doesn't always give you more produce. I plant mine just over 2' in one direction and slightly less in the other as I find that works best for me.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
