  • Snow White Toms

    Any one grow these?

They have gone a cream colour (yippie ) but the shoulders are a darker cream - the area you get green back on a red tom. This might be a stupid question but I have had cherry tom's where the colour is the same but these do not seem to be changing. Is this normal?? I don't want to leave them to over ripen.

Do they feel slightly soft? With Green Zebra I go as much by the feel as the colour. Try one - it's only one tomato you've lost if it's under-ripe.

they started splitting so had no choice and they were very very nice. I have to wait for my black cherries as well Suky.

Feel bit stupid for asking but you wouldnt eat a red tom with greenback would you? or maybe you would!

Yep - if it was that kind of tom. Some of the older larger ones always have greenback and they taste fab. Cherokee Purple to name but one.
