I have a few little sweetcorn seedlings coming along, one question, one seedling/plant = how many ears of corn?

We grow F1 Applause and get 2 cobs per plant.
It will depend on the variety you have though.

I only get one cob per plant - occasionally a second but it's a little weak thing if it occurs at all. Last year's crop was pathetic (too cold and wet for corn)

Could I just poke my nose in here and ask how many cobs per plant I can expect on Minipop? Also, I guess I don't wait for tassels to turn brown on those so how do you know when to harvest? Sorry for the dim questions

I got 3 or 4 cobs per plant last year, can't remember what type but was quite pleased as they were only pretty short plants.
