I'm looking for a shed for my allotment plot and was wondering if anyone had any good experiences with any online suppliers. Want to spend around £250. Any help much appreciated.

Are you sure you're ok with spending that much on a shed for an allotment? Quite often they're broken into, set alight, or just vandalised for the "fun" of it.Comment

That's the absolute max I can spend. I can pick stuff up cheap on eBay but I'd need to hire a van or pay someone to shift it. Plus I'd probably have to take a day of work to dismantle It. It all adds up. Thinking if I get something new then I can at least get it delivered straight to the site. Also I would like something big enough to sit in and chill and watch the sun set. The plot has a great view.Comment

I should add that these allotments are on the top of a hill on a farm about 6 miles from the nearest town, so theft/vandalism/torching shouldn't be an issue. Famous last words!Comment

I bought a new shed for exactly the same reason, quick easy and delivered direct to my plot on a day to suit me.
Worth the extra cost just for the convience. Unfortunately can't remember who I got it from, sorry.Comment

Go for quality over size; I got a 7' x 7' for my allotment from one of the DIY chains, and while the size is perfect for combined use as a tool store and a place to sit and make a brew, the quality is not good. The timber on the sides is so thin that where sun and rain hit it continually it has warped and come apart, leaving it more prone to rotting. Better to spend your money on something smallerthat will stay standing!Comment

I couldn't bring myself to spend a lot on something that could easily get trashed, so for my allotment I went for the cheapest 6x4 overlap shed I could find in the local B&Q. I think it'll be okay, but it's pretty flimsy so will need looking after.
At home I bought an 8x6 shiplap apex shed from Tiger Sheds, a huge leap in build quality for a still pretty inexpensive shed.Comment

i had the same problem with my new allotment buy cheap or spend more i looked on ebay nothing in my area looked at BQ waste of money found a local garden centre and ordered a 7+5 tong and groove slight second £250 delivered and erectedComment

As VC says, what about considering a greenhouse if you are willling to spend that money ?I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
