I'm growing Serbian/Siberian beans and they're getting fat in their pods I know for seeds beans I leave them until their pods go crispy but for eating can I pick and use them now, either way do they need boiling for 10 minutes.

A kindly person has given me half a dozen seed of POLETSCHKA climbing beans which I understand are from Ukraine, so there's my challenge for next season. Will of course post details of success (or otherwise)
