Default from seed to picking

I am just getting use to using my new greenhouse and starting all my vegetables from seed then planting out in plastic containers and tubs.,Although some of the packets show length of time before cultivation is there a small book somewhere that shows a range of veggies how long a growing process takes.

I am sometimes not sure if some of my veggies have bolted or not. some seed packets say start in sowing in april /may but if i sow in say june /july in the greenhouse will i get the same growing times and results.

Ps I am new to all of this so if these are daft questions please be kind to me

A good book for this type of info is Hessayon's Veg & Herb Expert book, it's available in most garden centres and on websites like Amazon, and not very expensive (about £7 or so I think), well worth the investment.

Late sowing in the greenhouse should work for most things, I would think, might be quicker or slower, a lot depends on the weather, and it will also depend on what you are growing. What specifically are you sowing?

I don't see a problem with any of that. Keep your lettuce outside, it hates heat (somewhere shady is ideal).
Carrots do very well in pots, herbs & spuds too.
