Default saving sweetcorn seed

Hi,

I've eaten almost all of my cobs but wanted to save some kernels to plant next year - can I just scrape some off a cob now, do you think, or should I have done it with an unripe cob?

thanks.

They need to be ripe (mature). I've never tried saving sweetcorn seed, do let us know how you get on.

If its an F1 supersweet, it won't come true to type... even open pollinated not completely reliable as pollen can travel a long way from nearby maize etc.

Its lemon squeezy tho..Leave it on the ripe cob until completely dry then push it off with thumb and save in envelope.
