  • Roughly what month do you plant your sweetcorn

Reason I ask is that I am trying to find room in my allotment plan. Could it follow broad beans or first earlies for example?

    Thanks in advance!

I certainly wasn't thinking of putting them in until end May/beg June at least.

I sow in newspaper pots from 21-Mar to 21-Apr to grow as a greenhouse crop, and from 01-May to 01-Jun for planting outdoors. They take 3 weeks from sowing to planting out (they grow quickly!). The 01-Jun sowing is touch-and-go, they mature around mid September.
