  • Radish Flowering

I forgot I had some radish in trays in the mini greenhouse and they have now sent up some stems and are flowering.

My question is: can I use this to my advantage and harvest the seed for sowing next year? Has anyone done this before, if so how do I harvest and where do I find the seeds?

    Thanks

^ when the flower dies a pod will appear just like pea pods, when the pods dry out you can take the seeds out, but self pollinated radish will have low germination rates and wont be as vibrant and crunchy as the cross pollinated ones...

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
