Radar onion sets Hi just got some radar onions sets when should I be putting them in. Is it to late only got a few only have a small patch. Grew onions from sets in spring should I put them in the same part

I grew Radar this year, they are over wintering types so can be put in from now onwards (Sept / Oct) i think.

You have plenty of time to plant them. As long as your spring ones did not have any disease problems you could use the same spot again but only this time. There was a time when the onion bed was permanent but that is not now advised.

Thanks very much the others were fine so think will put them in the same spot any idea how far I should space them

Just got mine today. Will start them in cell trays and as soon as they're well rooted will plant out on the lottie.
