  • rabbit or horse

    i have been offered a load of rabbit menure
    how does this compare with horse manure?
    i am building new raised beds,and any advise would be very welcome,

      Rabbit manure should be great - they are vegetarians same as horses. I should think the same things apply, such as don't let it come into contact with plants until it's well-rotted down. Is it mixed with bedding like straw or is it wood shavings? If wood shavings it will definately need to be composted before use as rotting wood takes nitrogen from the soil.

        Any vegetarian manure is great. according to this list, rabbit (or hare) waste is more nutritious than horse manure: Primalseeds - % composition of materials
