    protecting brassicas

    I have a small veggie plot at the side of a house which is next to a field.I have tried unsuccessfully to grow brassicas. I grow from seed in a greenhouse then harden off and then plant out healthy plants.Year 1 they were attacked by cabbage rootfly. Year 2 I put discs round base and they were attacked by caterpillars literally at least a hundred overnight on each plant. Year 3 I put netting over and sprayed with systemic incecticide. They were attacked nightly by a plague of whitefly, Each day I got rid of them but they were always back next day.This year I have built raised beds and intend to cover again with smaller mesh netting but am worried about whiteflies which are tiny.Suggestions please

      you could try the garlic & chilli spray

        At least you don't seem to have clubroot. Enviromash is fine enough to keep out whitefly.
        You just need to make sure you don't leave any gaps.

          stick in a few french marigolds inside your environmeshed area. Even if you leave afew gaps, these should keep whitefly away

            Definitely try this. I grouped all my brassicas togetherm and then planted African marigolds in and around them. Hardly had any trouble at all. Will be trying this tactic again this year.

              I have loads of problems with whitefly too. Am going to try Two Sheds chilli and garlic spray this year. Has anyone else tried it?
