    Powdery mildew on peas

    I noticed my pea plants had gone pale - it appears to be powdery mildew and has affected all of the foliage.

    Should the entire crop be harvested and the foliage be disposed of or is it alright to leave them in-situ and harvest when needed?

    I would harvest what you can now, and give them a good watering. Give it a week or so to see if the plants recover and if not then pull them up. I presume from your username that you are in Yorkshire, but it might be helpful if you add your location to your profile.

      Hi, I was about to post my first entry to the forum on this very subject! I have just been out to harvest my peas and noticed that they too are suffering from this condition. What would be the cause of this? Is it a Yorkshire affliction?! I'm a bit miffed as I have a bumper crop this year and still have loads of unripe pods.

        Advice on NVS forum today was to try spraying with full cream milk. Works with cues in the greenhouse. Nowt to be lost so give it a try.

          the spray is a milk and water mix, have a look here
