Potatoes Haven't grown these before and we are trying them in potato bags. They are growing well at the moment. We keep earthing them up ,feeding etc. How do we know when they are ready to harvest?

After about 3 months, have a feel (furtle) in the bag. If you can feel spuds, they're ready.

Hi Kath. Some potato haulms will produce flowers and when they die off then the potatoes will be about ready to harvest. If they have no flowers then just watch for the haulms dying back and you can have a furtle and check them for size.
