  • Potatoes in buckets

I have some potatoes in buckets that are doing well (see pic). I was wondering whether it was worth hacking the bottoms off some more buckets and stacking them on top of the ones I've got to give them more depth as they're already just about earthed up to the top (the pic is a few days old). Anyone else done this? Would I get a bigger yield?

If your potatoes are in the bottom of the pots then they will be earthed up enough when filled to the top of the pots. They are looking good. Just don't be caught out by a late frost.
