poorly chilli plants

I've tried overwintering chillies and peppers. They did get through the winter, but come spring, they didn't take off. I find it easier just to grow fresh each year - starting about now on the windowsill.

thanks for the advice, i'll leave them where they are and see what happens but grow some new ones as well.

I should be starting chillis now? Is there enough let you reckon Alice? Oh great I can start growing stuff

Best get some compost indoors, its frozen solid at the moment!

I won't be starting my chillies off until Feb/March.
There's no great rush ~ some varieties take ages to ripen, esp in a poor summer, but mine were still all ripe before the first frosts last year.

I put 3 in our porch, the CH boiler is in there. " died and the other is hanging on.I have lots of seed which I'll sow at the end of Feb.

Just read up on planting chilis in gyo mag, best I wait. I may invest in a heated propogator though
