  • Plant identification

    I know you're all full of knowledge, so I'd like to pick your brains.

    I was given this plant as a gift and have no idea what it is. It smells of lemon, if that helps.

    Any suggestions are welcome. I'd really like to know what it is.

          Yup, lemon geranium. If you bake a Victoria sponge cake pop some in the bottom of the tin before you poor the mixture in, it gives a wonderful lemony taste to it.

            Lemon geranium. It smells lovely. Grow in a pot, and keep on the dry side. Not hardy though.

              Lemon scented pelargonium: there are several, but yours looks like mine: pelargonium graveolens

                Thanks for all the responses. I knew I could rely on this forum to put a name to the plant.

                It does smell really nice.
