Default Organic food 40% more nutrients
There's a bit on the news today about a farm that experimentally grew half its crops conventionally, and half organically. After scientific tests, the organic food was found to have up to 40% more nutrients (extra protein from the slugs n bugs? )

Make of that what you will, I'm sure!

I got that info in an email from the k1tcheng@ardens list, it also contained the point that GM research received about £39m funding whilst organic got about £2m....make of that what you will also!

It's been rattling on all day on the radio about how research has shown that locally grown organic food is best!!! YOU DON'T SAY!!!!

I can't believe they had to pay scientists to ratify what most allotmenteers have known for years!
