  • Onion Sets Have Arrived

My onion sets arrived yesterday - all 25kg of them. I'm gonna plant some (prob 200 or so) of them in the "posh" walled garden tomorrow but the bulk of them will go in my own place.
I've been looking forward to them arriving, but when they did, I'm sure my back gave a shudder
Before I start, Im gonna weigh out a kilo and count how many sets are in that so I have a rough idea of how many onions I have.

Still easier and quicker than putting plants in though I would think?

                    I reckon 200 per kilo???- so that'd be ...5000?????....just a wild guess!!!!

                        I'll say 75 per 250g so that makes 7,500 in all !!!!!!!!!!

                        Phew!!!!!!!

                          Have you been peeking
You are two sets out - the sample kilo contained 202 sets, so I'll settle for a round 5000.
