| I attempted to grow a giant onion this from seed, I started back in Jan and recently dug it up as the ends were getting chewed to high heaven by something. It's a small shallot size and I am wondering I could get away with treating it as a set, dry it out and store to grow on in the spring? Any ideas? |

| You could try it, but of those that I have tried the same with this year the majority ran to seed. You would be better methinks to eat it and plant fresh sets or seed.
