What am I to do?......We are nearly into November, my main Tom plants have long gone but my armpits are playing silly beggars. They are still ripening on the plants but am unsure whether to pick them & put them in a drawer or just leave them as they seem perfectly happy.

Gosh- they look healthy!!!
Personally I'd leave them ..and if they how any signs of blight pick them all asap .
How cold has it been at night for them- they seem to be coping well.
I think until it goes dull and rainy or much colder at night then they'd be fine.
Well done on such an impressive 'extra' crop.
( just watch one of the experts come along and say OMG...pick em quickly!!!!)

Yeh, was thinking the same. I think the temps are getting down to around 5 or 6 so not very cold as yet. Those look ever so happy bigmally. So do my greenhouse toms though they are not fruiting very well.
My mystery tomato beside the chook run is still flowering and fruiting and the fruits are ripening slowly. No sign of it stopping any time soon either!Happy Gardening,

I have found in the past if they dont get as much sun you can still probably get them to ripen but the flavour is not as good as the warm sun kissed ones picked earlier in the year.Comment
