  • My veg year in 50 photos / Slideshow

Just put a slideshow together for my year of veg growing and my giant onion disaster.

It's amazing how successful you can make a bad year look if you leave out all the disappointing photos.

The camera never lies ........NOT !!..

Excellent - an inspiration to all I would think. Also very good quality photos.

Nice crop, do your 'giant' onions taste any different from the more regular sized ones?

BTW, I love the look of your 'ugly' cumbers

You look like you did really well there Vegmandan, & your giant onions look great, what was the problem? Everything looks very tasty!

It all looks great Dan, and even if you didn't beat your record onion weight, you still had some really good ones. Much better than ours did - they only just got bigger than the ordinary ones!
I've just bought a ticket to hear Medwyn Williams speak at the Horticultural Society in Nelson (near Colne), and apparently he'll be bringing some seeds to sell. I might just have to invest in some of his Onion Seeds

Oh my, how fabulous your plot looks. You should be so proud, and as everyone above says - so inspiring too. If you regard that as a bad year i'd love to see what you regard a good one! Everything looks so organised & healthy - i want what you have!!
                      Jane,

Im not usually a jealous person but!! I want your allotment. Why does my vegetable plot always look so scruffy!!
                          Congratulations.
How much time do you spend up there?

                            Wonderful
Now please can we have some pictures where your veg looks a bit scruffy and your plot is something less than completely impeccable - so we don't all go to bed feeling completely inadequate?
