  • Mixing plants in greenhouse

Had my weekly sunday mnorn chat with dad earlier and was talking about my greenhouse plants. He said I shouldnt put chillies and tomatoes in same greenhouse as insects will cross pollinate them resulting in hot tomatoes. I quite like the idea myself but not all of them. Is there any truth in this - seems a bit far fetched to me. PS My dad has never grown a chilli in his life - purely a tomato and cucumber man

I grew both in my greenhouse last year, side by side and they were both fine and had no problems.

I think it is probably an old Dad's tale. Grew both last year and had no problems. The chillies were hot, but the tomatoes were fine.
