Default Mini sweet peppers & Chillis

Hi

I have some mini sweet peppers and chillis growing outside in pots but don't know how to tell when they are ready to eat. Are they any signs that will help me know when I should start picking?

Thanks
CADS

Depends, CADS, if a recipe calls for a green pepper, then you use them while still green, same with chillies. They will eventually turn red (or whatever colour the seed company states, ie purple, yellow, etc).

Taste and see which you prefer. Be a bit careful with the chillies though!!

Are they just small plants, or are they varieties specially bred to produce small fruit? You can pick them and use them at any stage, but the taste will vary.

Maybe the weather was just right for them to ripen quickly
