  • Mangetout! Mangetout!

Bit late, but thinking about buying some CAROUBY DE MAUSANNE, has anyone tried them?

Okay well I've bought the seeds, so has anyone any tips for growing them? Never grown mangetout before, these are 1.5m tall apparently.

I haven't grown them either but my reason for not growing them is the pea moth. We get maggots in the pea pods so I don't fancy eating mangetout.

Hi smallblueplanet, I grow mangetout but not your variety and I find them really easy to grow and so far have not suffered any bugs with them

The maggots are really tiny and transparent so I don't think you would notice them if you held the mangetout up to the light. I prefer to know what meat I am eating.

Pea moth larvae are a valuable source of protein I've heard!
