Does anyone know I good source for these ? I saw three for £5.99 in our local garden/tat centre but I want about 12.......which would set me back nearly 25 quid.

I would have saved some but ended up scoffing the lot

    Muchly obliged

Fothergills does 20 for £8.95 if you don't want quite so many. P&P is £4.50, I think Unwin charge £4.95
        Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
        Endless wonder.

You could try your local supermarket. Sainsbugs had them recently. The ones on sale are usually the less knobbly ones too -?Fuseau. That's how I started mine!

You could be right there ..... sadly we don't have a greengrocer and our supermarkets idea of exotic is red chillis!

I've ordered some from Garden Organic

                    http://www.organiccatalogue.com/p1/J...duct_info.html

Approx 15 tubers for £5.70 (postage £1 for orders under £12). I've never ordered from here before but I thought I'd give these a try. I'm just waiting for them to be ready to be sent out. It's really exciting because we've never tried Jerusalem Artichokes

I'm sure I have some still in the garden and you're very welcome to them. Just send a SAE and I'll pop them in the post.
I originally grew them from a few left over in my daughter's organic veg box - they're fairly smooth skinned and not too knobbly! (sounds like a description of someone's knees - not mine, sadly...)
