cougette and cheese bread yesterday as well as courgette in the spag bol.
Courgette lasagne (used instead of pasta sheets) today

am i the only one who has had a rubbish year for courgettes? last year i was burried under a mound of them, this year I dont think ive had more than a dozen from 4 plants

Good grief, the mere mention of putting any of my home-grown veg on the compost bring me out in a sweat. You can NEVER have too many curries! Or courgette cake, or chilli/courgette/tomato sauces...Comment

Nope, me too - a few early in the year, then almost nothing - they keep producing male flowers but only a few fruit which tend to rot before they've grown enough... Very disappointing as the last 2 years worked so well! Me too - I put it down to the very dry season we have had. By default I don't water those beds, as they 'should' be able to take care of themselves.Originally posted by salilah View Post

Me three (or is that four), we've had about two courgettes off each of our four plants - that's pathetic!! They've had a healthy dose of chicken manure pellets, the ones at the lottie weren't watered, but the ones at home were, but it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference. That's a great idea Two Sheds, better than letting them go to waste. It did make me think of Joe Swift on Gardeners' World the other week when he was going round the allotments offering to swap his courgettes for other peoples produce, they all accepted them but I think it was a bit reluctantly & only because they were on TV.
