  • Indoor Peas have got leggy

    Hi,

I started off some peas indoors a month ago...They are currently about 10cm long and flopping over and very leggy in search of more light...

Can I plant them out now and if so should I bury them deeper, or will the stem rot off if put into the ground too deep?

I know with tomatoes they will grow new root on the stem if planted deep, but not too sure if its ok to do with peas...

    Many thanks.

I think they'll just continue to struggle if they don't get planted or repotted soon! Whereabouts are you?

To be honest, I always sow peas direct. Plenty of time to do that.
    I don't roll on Shabbos

Chop em all off at about 2" and lightly steam or stir-fry them - yummy. You may find that they re-grow a bit more bushy (like sweetpeas do)
