Firstly, my name is Jane and I'm a tomatoseedaholic.......Please, I need help!

I was in Sainsburys (cans etc) this Saturday when OH said he fancied a tomato salad but was too tired to go down the allotment. I told him that they probably don't do Sungold here (this years fav) and to stop being so lazy but I went and looked anyway.

I did find a tiny packet of the smallest tomatoes I've ever seen - each one much less than 1cm length but didn't note the variety, I was too busy picking myself off the floor at the price. They'd look very unusual in a salad or good dried as a snack but no way was I buying any!

I did remember seeing the seed advertised for sale some months ago by T&M (I think) but again I didn't write down the variety because I thought 'hey I'll get them when I put in a big seed order' so of course they're not there now

Does anyone know what they're called and where I might get seed - I've tried under grape (right shape, too big) and current tomatoes (wrong shape, right size)

Hope I've posted this in the right section - now I can't find them I want them even more!

    Thanks, hopefully. Jane

Really can't help as I think they might change from store to store....but are they any of these?

Perhaps next week they will still be there, and you can take a photo of the variety to remind yourself.

Hi Jane - why not try the "Seed Swap" section on here? You might find what you're looking for. I notice someone is offering currant tomato seeds to swap for black. Worth a try!

Not quite Jeanied - they where smaller. I suspect they are currant toms of sorts so will go with that suggestion!

            Thanks Jane

My hundreds and thousands were very small and fitted your size description. I would definitely recommend giving them a go as they were really delicious and did fantastically well in hanging baskets. In fact I am still picking some now and they having been going since july!
They are really juicy for there size and are great raw or fried

21again (just like me! - oh yeah - I wish!) - has some currant tomato seeds which I have recently swapped with. (Black Cherry Tom wanted thread)

They are reputedly miniscule and possibly what you're after. She has self-saved seed from this year's crop - and may still have some left.

If there is something she wants and you have.......well deal done!?

Rogesse - I grew lots of Currant toms this year - very tiny & bursting with flavour.
I'm still picking now - if you PM me with your address I'll save some seed & post to you.
