Default I really wanted to get this done today ?

I have three girls under the age of 4, and when designing my veg garden I wanted my barrier fence, from play garden to my veg garden to be horizontal slats, and was told kids wont climb up it if told not to.

As one has grown to nearly 4 years old and she doesn't listen, she tramples all over my carrots and radishes and ruined nearly the whole crop.

I have the skill and materials ready to make a new vertical barrier fence, but did not get the chance because of the rain !!!

I now have to work all week in hope she doent repeat her ways.

I know how you feel, one of my dogs kept jumping my fence and attacked my lettaces. Hopefully I`ve solved the problem.

I can't help you with child guidance on carrot stamping but I truly truly love your name

i recommend vertical slats, as horizontal is a fence waiting to be climbed ...... but i also recommend electrocution .......(and contraception) lol

I'd try to give your daughter a little area of her own and help her grow her own mini veg. By learning to look after her own plants she'll probably learn to respect yours. Often telling a child not to do something makes them all the more curious about it - say don't go on my patch and you can bet they will!

I have to put up Milo Barriers around my raised beds. Milo being my dozy Dalmatian.

He is OK once plants are established but dashes through newly dug beds and reeks havoc on new plants

Bad luck, I had 3 children in under three years - and they are all horrid little ratfaces. No amount of saying 'NO' will help. I resort to bribary. I put a fence around my main veg plot and the little buggars built up stones either side to climb over and nick the peas and stand on my leeks. They always say 'but I didn't mean to'.
May be get a high power water pistol like you would for cats......or razor wire or an alligator pit or an electric fence (I'm on a roll now)
How about a sweet at the end of the day for anyone who has not been over the fence??

"and contraception"

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw of two toddlers talking.

1st toddler "I found a condom on the patio"

2nd toddle "What's a patio?"
