  • how many trusses on a sideshoot?

Hi I planted some sideshoots of my toms and was wondering how many trusses I should allow on each sideshoot?

I'm allowing 2 in the greenhouse but just one outdoors; they won't ripen in time otherwise.

If you've only just planted them, as many as are likely to ripen before the frosts.
Or as many green tomatoes as you want.
You might get away with maybe one or two at a push now, but if they've been in for a while, then treat them as you would a grown plant.
Work out how long it took for the 'normal' tomato plants you have to set fruit and grow, and you'll have your answer {can't say for deifinite, I don't know what type they are, plus someone more up-to-speed will be along shortly...]

      see?someone was!!

Hi All There are cherry toms, yellow and red brandywines and they have been in a while and have set two to three trusses each but I thought that this would be enough so thanks for the confirmation. Greatly appreciated!
