  • Help Please

Hi My name is robbie and i have being growing chiles.

This is my first time at doing so and so help is in need if possible.

I have germinated my seedling on a heated propagator so that they have shot out of there jiffy plugs and have now for 2 sum 3 pointed leaves. so now i have taken the jiffy plugs and placed them inside 3" pots with potting on compost and placed them under a metal halide 250 watt light inside a grow tent as in plicture link

    http://www.hg-hydroponics.co.uk/ekmp...ents-115-c.jpg

The grow tent mesures 60cm x 60 cm and stads at 140cm i have my light positioned at the top of the grow tent.

Is this To Far up they say the hetal halide lamp is a cool white but to me it still seems to be giving off lots of heat so thats why ive positioned it up high. Am i doing the correct thing???

Also with having a light of high wattage does this mean i will need to fit extractors or will all the openings be enough for ventilation

    Many Thanks

Looks all well and good, but it all seems a bit high tech for plants that will grow quite readily in the summer. Why are you going to this effort now rather than wait for spring? I presume you don't have a garden and need to grow chillies indoors.

Try this forum they've got lots of 'indoor' chilli growers and a hydroponics section.

That's what I thought. Also, where are you going to put your plants between now and May when they can go outdoors? (depending where in the world you are).
