  • Help I need bordeax mix

Hi does anyone know where I can get bordeaux mix in Manchester. We have a blight alert and can't find it

Haven't you got a Wyevale garden centre somewhere in the area? (they seem to be everywhere around here, and I thought they were a National company)
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Any garden centre or nursery should sell it.

Thanks for the advice. I will do a tour of Garden centres this afternoon and see what I can find.

Bordeaux Mixture might not be labelled as such - it's commonly called Copper Fungicide.

My friend who has an allotment round the corner told me there was an alert for this area. No idea whether that's the whole of Manchester or not.

Went to the garden centre and they only had 1 small bottle of bordeaux mix left and don't plan on restocking anytime soon.
I let my friend have it as he has lots more outdoor toms/spuds than I do and mine are more advanced. I think I will pinch out the tops of the toms as they have 4 good trusses now and let them concentrate on ripening the fruit already there.

I harvested my first spuds yesterday. Absolutely delicious as the others are in tubs and a wheelie bin (cunningly the wheelie bin has a lid) I can bring them in or close the lid if things look too bad on the blight front.
