  • Help with growing!

I am growing runner beans and sweet corn and the plants seem to be growing well but im unsure as to when the veg should start to grow any advice?

Approximate time between sowing and picking:
    Runner Beans: 12-14 weeks
    Sweet Corn: 14 weeks

How long ago did you plant them? How big are they?

This is my first year too, I just looked them up in my book!
I planted my runners in April too, but they're more like 6ft tall. Do you know what variety yours are?

Sadly I didn't end up with enough room to transplant my sweet corn, so my Mum took it to grow with my nephew.

That does seem slow for runners. I only planted mine at the beginning of June and they are already about 4 foot high.

They may well have been nipped by a late frost if they were outdoors in April, which would have set them back considerably.
