 HELP! Flowering Shallots.... What shall I do? They havent flowered yet but have sent up seed pods... I am off on hols for 9 days tomorrow and don't wnat to come back to bolted or gone to seed shallots!! They are "Red Baron" if that helps... Please help!!!!!      |

| Are you sure that they are shallots? I thought that Red Baron were red Onions which do have a tendancy to bolt. Bend the tops over to stop them growing anu further and they will probably be useable but they won't store.

| Yep, if it's Red Baron then they're onions. Perhaps you mean Red Sun, in which case they are shallots. |

| My red onions have done this too! BUMMER!!! Hope I've done the right thing, pulled them all, chopped and froze them, for stews, boli, chilli etc...
