Default HELP! Flowering Shallots....

What shall I do? They havent flowered yet but have sent up seed pods...

I am off on hols for 9 days tomorrow and don't wnat to come back to bolted or gone to seed shallots!! They are "Red Baron" if that helps...

Please help!!!!!

Are you sure that they are shallots? I thought that Red Baron were red Onions which do have a tendancy to bolt.

Bend the tops over to stop them growing anu further and they will probably be useable but they won't store.

Yep, if it's Red Baron then they're onions. Perhaps you mean Red Sun, in which case they are shallots.

My red onions have done this too! BUMMER!!! Hope I've done the right thing, pulled them all, chopped and froze them, for stews, boli, chilli etc...

aaaah...perhaps my onions are red baron then....

but the bolting ones are deffo shallots....

why is it never easy!!!
