    Heirloom or Heritage seeds

    Hi everyone I just wondered where do you get your Heirloom/ Heritage seeds from.
    I have been growing organically for the last few years and want to start creating a seed bank of my own, but want to use a good supplier to get me started.
    Basically just looking for recommendation and any advice.

    Real seeds have some excellent varieties but the best stuff tends to come from joining the Heritage Seed Library and swapping with friends.

    Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

    Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

      Try the Chase collection (for sale at Ryton Gardens) or join the Heritgae Seed Library

          I've raised the idea of saving seed and swapping on a fb organic gardening local site. And it turns out our library is thinking about getting a seed bank site going. Asking around locally is good.

            For unusual toms I used to get them from amishlandseeds in the U.S.. However unfortunately they don't ship internationally anymore. So more recently I ordered some stuff from baker creek heirloom seeds. They've got a good range of products and they're not as expensive as you may think. They did quote 45 days for delivery but was more like 30. So probably a bit late for toms and some other stuff this year.

            Alternatively real seeds are always excellent.

              Wow thank you for the advice will look into all of those avenues and let you know how i get on. I am relatively local to Ryton organics so will take a drive over in the next week or so too.

                Is the chase collection a range of seeds offered at ryton. My course is there and not seen anything in the shop yet - tho not looked that much to be honest.
