Default Growing rice again!

Hello
Last year I put a post on here to ask if anyone knew anything about growing rice.
At the time I had managed to grow four little plants, (I found the seeds in our packet of Tesco rice).
I did get some replies but I did not follow anything more up as the plants died and I could not find any more seeds in the rice packet.
I am not very good on this internet stuff and have looked but cannot find the post I put on
There was someone who said their son grew it and would give me more advice.
Well, this year as a gift I was given a very large bag of paddy rice. So I have loads of seeds to try out and hopefully not kill off.
Please if there is anyone out there who can help with growing rice I would love to hear from you.

I cheat and grow quinoa, you use it in the same way and it's far easier to grow - I'm not sure how well suited Yorkshire is to a paddy field. Sadly it's nowhere near as nice, so if you have any luck this year please let us know.

This is an update to the link on the other thread
Sounds like you might need a polytunnel & grow lamps - it is daylength sensitive...
