  • Growing loofahs

Hi, has anyone ever grown loofah. If so how did they grow and when is the best time to sow them indoors. Just want to try and grow them as they look fun to grow and I am always looking for unusual things to grow. I can grow them in the pollytunnel if needs be. Thanks all.

Don't they grow too big for a windowsill?. When did you sow them?

Sounds like another challenging weird plant! A cross between a cucumber and a Brillo pad. Must try it!
Been meaning to ask you Bins - what is BNS? Is it another word we're not supposed to use here like C....mas & P....ips? or something like British National Seed, or Big Naughty Shape, or ....

Thanks!. I was seriously worried about my Brian (that's my brother not a typo) when I saw that you understood BNS as well! I though maybe I was the only one in the world who didn't understand. For the record my BNS were a failure too!

So, if I could grow a hybrid loofah/Jersey Tree kale I'd be able to scrub my feet without bending over? Must work on it!
