    Green sausage tomato help

    I have 4 green sausage tomato plants. The ones in the greenhouse are a bit more advanced than the 2 outside. I checked that they were bush tomatoes so left them to it.

    Except they are now triffids. There's 8-10 trusses per plant and lots more seem to be sprouting out from everywhere. So can I just check that I nip out every single bit that looks like it's going to shoot a truss?

    Also, they look like they're wilting all the time (even though they're well watered as the other ones in the greenhouse and checked with lifting up pots). Is that normal?

    Mine look like that too. I'm leaving them.

      I have planted mine outside, one in a bucket, one in a hanging baskets and a couple in wall baskets to see how well they do in different situations. Prior to planting out they often looked wilted like you say Bramble Killer, but no problems since. I am leaving mine to do there own thing and they look very happy at the moment.

        Mine always look like that too. I've had some flowers, they've died off - no evidence of fruit though.

        Moved out doors... not very hopeful now, all my toms are probably going to end up on the compost heap.

          the fruit takes ages to show (well, they did on mine). I have 2-3 set trusses for the one in the greenhouse and they've probably sprouted another truss or two today.

          I may pinch a whole load out as well, I'd rather they be spending energy growing bigger fruit than making more flowers.

              Bramble killer, don't pinch out the trusses from your tomato plants yet. Its only June and theres plenty of time for your toms to grow.
